Safe, secure, and reliable ground preceiving reinforcement required for excavation of mountain tunnels

Injected Long-Form First-Forward Method (AGF Method)

Tunnel face top edge countermeasure method (P method / S method)

This is a method of reinforcing and stabilizing ground during mountain (NATM) tunnel excavation. This method can be applied to unstable ground conditions such as collapse, displacement, and settlement. It can be constructed in a short time using general-purpose machines, and is used for small earth cover, tunnel openings, widened sections, and measures to prevent the impact of nearby structures.

Overview

The AGF method is broadly classified into the no-widening method and the widening method. The non-expansion method is widely used because of its convenience and ability to adapt the construction to the ground conditions.

Typical methods are the AGF-P method, which uses PVC pipes for terminal pipes, and the AGF-S method, which uses slit steel pipes. We have handled these two methods since their development, and have a proven track record of reinforcing tunnel faces.

Special Features

The AGF-P/S method, which has a proven track record, is a method of placing AGF steel pipes from the top of the face into the topsoil without widening the face without widening the support. Although removal of the terminal pipe is required during excavation, this is a versatile method that can be flexibly adapted to the ground conditions.

¶ Shortening of cycle time and improvement of economic efficiency

Since AGF steel pipe casting can be performed from no-widening (standard cross section), the cycle time can be shortened compared to the widening method. This method is also more economical because it does not require excavation of the widened area and shotcrete.

Standards

¶ Aperture

 114.3φ, 89.1φ, 76.3φ (small diameter AGF)

¶ Steel pipe length

Refer to the steel pipe assembly drawing.
