Features

¶ High crack suppression effect by special embossing

Special embossing on the surface of POLYSTRON provides compressive strength and fiber pull-out resistance that exceed those of general fiber-reinforced concrete, greatly improving the flexural toughness of concrete and greatly contributing to the prevention of delamination and spalling. 


¶ Good dispersibility in concrete

Polistron can be mixed into concrete by simply feeding it directly into an agitator on site and agitating it to obtain good dispersion. Since the fiber does not absorb water, its effect on the freshness of the concrete is very small, and usually no modification of the mix is necessary. The standard mixing rate of Polistron is 0.3 vol% (2.73 kg/m3).


¶ Cost savings

For non-structural floors, the addition of Polystron allows the omission of rebar or mesh reinforcement. Material and construction costs can be significantly reduced, and the construction period can be shortened.
